On October 6th, 2017, Kindersley Conservation Officers received a TIP call about 3 moose that were shot in a standing canola crop north of Kiyiu (Eagle) Lake, which is approximately 7 miles south of Dodsland, SK, within the RM of Winslow. Investigating officers attended the area and found that the poacher(s) had driven through and damaged the canola crop, shot a calf, cow and bull moose, then left the animals to waste and rot. Some evidence was collected at the scene. Do you know who is responsible for this wildlife crime? Did you see any suspicious vehicles or activity in the area? This blatant waste of game and damage to crops is a concern to both landowners and responsible hunters alike.
