On the morning of March 13, 2019, Pierceland Conservation Officers were conducting angler compliance checks on Lac des Iles near The Shores subdivision. Officers located 3 abandoned burbot near ice fishing holes at the end of the ice road on the south side of the big island. Conservation Officers collected evidence at the scene and believe the offence took place the evening of March 12, 2019. It is unlawful to abandon or waste fish.
