On December 10, 2014 at approximately 12:45pm Rowan’s Ravine Conservation Officers received a call of a wounded cow moose on land posted no hunting (NW 6-23-21-W2) approximately 8 miles north of Silton, Saskatchewan. The cow moose had been shot through the front legs and had to be euthanized, leaving two calf moose behind. There was no moose season open at the time but it was the first day of the late draw elk season.
