On Sunday, November 19th, 2017, Loon Lake Conservation Officers received information of a deer that had been shot before legal hunting time south of Belliveau Lake, in the R.M. of Frenchman Butte. A mule deer was unlawfully harvested between the hours of 5am and 7am. It is an offence to hunt any wildlife during the period from one-half hour after sunset to one half-hour before sunrise. The offence took place approximately 3 km east of Highway 21, down Township road 520 on SW 1-52-23-W3. The animal was dragged from the kill-site approximately 460 meters over a grid road behind a nearby well site. Some evidence was collected from the scene.
