On November 14th, 2017, the Estevan Ministry of Environment Field Office received call regarding a shot and left White-tailed deer buck near the edge of Rafferty Reservoir, at the southwest corner of SE 14-3-10 W2, south of Macoun, SK. A Conservation Officer responded to the area and located the deer between tree rows approximately 30m from the trail. The officer confirmed the deer had been shot in the neck and no meat was taken. There was no open hunting season for White-tailed deer at the time.
