On August 5, 2018, Humboldt Conservation Officers attended SW17-36-19-W2, between Leroy and Englefeld, where a White-Tailed doe was reported dead. It was determined that the doe was shot repeatedly with a .22 calibre rifle and transported to the location. Due to the small calibre rifle that was used, the deer suffered a great deal before succumbing to the multiple gunshot wounds. Some evidence was collected at the scene. The deer was shot either on August 3rd or August 4th. Did you hear any shots fired on these days?
