Mule Deer Doe Unlawfully Hunted in RM of Wawken

On September 5th, 2019, Moose Mountain Conservation Officers found an unlawfully hunted mule deer doe on private land in the RM of Wawken. The deer was located at NW12-10-2-W1, on the South side of the road of the Christopher Trail, about 10km East of the Village of Kenosee Lake. Officers found the untagged deer with most of the meat harvested and the hide and head still attached to the body. Tire tracks were also found next to the carcass of the deer. It is believed that the deer was shot the morning of September 5th. Officers collected some evidence at the scene.
