On Saturday, February 1st, 2020, Humboldt Conservation Officers received information that a moose had been shot and taken on private land, approximately 7.5 miles East of the community of St. Brieux. Officers attended the scene and located evidence indicating that the calf moose had been shot from the roadway. There was no season open at the time and no permission was obtained from the landowner. The moose is believed to have been shot sometime during the afternoon of February 1st, 2020.
