Around 9:30am on August 22nd, 2020, Loon Lake Conservation Officers received a report of 4 to 5 rifle shots heard and an early ‘90’s black Chevy or GMC truck seen on the road. Soon after, a head could be seen walking in the canola field, as well as multiple voices heard. The truck was last seen heading West bound on Township road 510, in the direction of Turtleford, SK. Deer hair, a pool of blood and a drag mark were later discovered in the field. Evidence suggests there were at least three individuals involved, and these individuals were in and out of several fields that morning. There was no big game season on at this time.
