On August 5th, 2020 Humboldt Conservation Officers received a call regarding a vehicle that drove through standing canola near the Little Moose Church, 8 miles West of St. Brieux, SK. Officers investigated and found several hundred yards of vehicle damage to the crop, as well as a gut pile from a bull elk. The elk had been shot during the night of August 4th or the morning of August 5th. The elk was located on the East side of the road, approximately 70 meters into the field. There was no hunting season for elk when this occurred on posted land. Evidence was collected at the scene.
