On November 16th, 2020, Estevan Conservation Officers received information regarding a White-tailed deer which had been shot and left to waste approximately 12km Northeast of Torquay, SK. Officers investigated the scene and located vehicle tracks leading to and away from the dead animal. Conservation Officers believe that the deer had been killed sometime during the last day of rifle either sex mule deer season or opening of rifle White-tailed deer season. Estevan Conservation Officers investigated another report of a White-tailed deer buck that was shot and left to waste approximately 4km Northeast of Gainsborough, SK. The deer was located behind a bluff of trees, less than 100m from the grid road. Officers believe that the deer had been shot during the White-tailed deer season. Conservation Officers need the public’s help to solve these two cases.
