On the 25th of August, 2021, Moose Mountain Conservation Officers received a TIPP call in regards to unlawful hunting and damage to crops South of Moosomin, SK. Officers attended the location of SW10-13-31-1 and observed tire tracks driving through swathed canola that led to a gut pile of a moose. The animal was retrieved sometime in the evening of Tuesday, August 24th or the early morning of the 25th, but may have been shot earlier. Evidence was collected at the scene. Officers are asking if the public witnessed any suspicious vehicles in the area during that time.
