On November 2, 2023, Greenwater Conservation Officers received a Turn in Poachers call regarding three moose that had been unlawfully shot and taken on private land, approximately 8km south of Peesane, SK. Officers investigated and it is believed that the moose were shot between the evening of November 1 and early morning hours of November 2. The three moose were gutted and loaded at this location, and it is believed that more than one vehicle was involved. Officers were able to collect some evidence from the scene but require the public’s help to identify the individuals responsible.
