On Thursday, October 12th, 2017, Meadow Lake Conservation Officers received a TIP call about migratory birds that had been shot and left to waste. Officers attended the scene about 20km east of Meadow Lake near the St. Cyr Recreation Site, to find 19 birds shot and all the meat wasted. The birds included Canada Geese, Snow Geese, Sandhill Cranes and ducks. It is believed the birds were dumped the afternoon of October 12th. Some evidence was collected at the scene.
