On November 10th, 2017, Loon Lake Conservation Officers received information through the Turn In Poachers Line regarding a Bald Eagle that had been shot one and a half kilometres north of St. Walburg, along Township Road 542. Conservation Officers investigated the scene and located the eagle, which they determined had been shot on November 9th or 10th. It is illegal to hunt or shoot eagles in Saskatchewan, which are a protected species under The Saskatchewan Wildlife Act. The public’s help is needed to solve this crime.
