On December 3rd, 2017, Moose Jaw Conservation Officers received information through the TIP line regarding a mule deer that had been shot and left in a stubble field approximately ½ mile north and 1 mile west of Penzance, Saskatchewan. Officers attended the area and found a mule deer buck about 50 yards off a grid road. The deer had been shot in the neck and left to waste. Officers believe that the deer had been shot on December 2nd, the day before the end of the White-tailed deer rifle season.
