On the morning of Sunday, September 23, 2018, Nipawin Conservation Officers received a call regarding a bull elk that had been shot and left in a standing oat field.  The bull elk was located just North of Highway #255 to Tobin Lake and one mile Southeast of Gingara subdivision, on the land quarter SW02-52-13-W2nd. Vehicle tracks were observed driving through the standing oat and adjacent wheat crop fields. It is believed that the animal was shot during the night time hours of Friday, September 21 or Saturday, September 22, 2018.
