On the evening of October 14, 2018, Melfort Conservation Officers received a TIP call regarding a White-tailed doe that had recently been shot and left to waste. The deer was shot in a heavily hunted area, next to Wascana Lake, approximately 10 km East of Silver Park. This area is frequently hunted for moose, elk, and deer, thus leading Conservation Officers to believe that someone may have observed the responsible person(s) in that area between 5:30pm – 6:15pm.
