White-Tailed Deer Shot and Left Near St. Walburg

On the evening of November 10th, 2019, Loon Lake Conservation Officers received information of a shot and left White-tailed deer near the grain elevators in St. Walburg. Officers attended the area and located a 5×5 buck with a bullet wound behind the front shoulder. The animal was believed to have been shot earlier that same morning. It appears the deer was shot from a grid road approximately 200 meters away. A vehicle then drove up to the deer, but did not retrieve it. Aside from waste of game, there was no season on for White-tailed deer and it was shot within 500 meters of a house.
