On December 7th, 2019, Assiniboia Conservation Officers discovered a deer gut pile within the Scout Lake community pasture, located approximately 10 kilometers West of Scout Lake. It was determined the gut pile belonged to a mule deer buck. Numerous blue shop towels had been left at the scene. There was no either sex mule deer season on during this time as that season had ended on November 14th, 2019.
