On November 24th, 2021, Loon Lake Conservation Officers received a TIPP regarding a potentially poached deer 12 miles South of Spruce Lake, SK. Upon investigation, a small mule deer buck was located approximately 95m off of Township Road 520 in a field located at SE 6-52-21 W3rd. Some evidence was collected but officers are requesting the public’s help in providing information that could lead to the identification of those responsible. An antlerless mule deer draw season was on at the time and it’s possible that this animal was misidentified. In cases of misidentified wildlife being harvested, the hunter must immediately report the kill to conservation officers.
