On November 29, 2025, North Battleford Conservation Officers received a Turn in Poachers and Polluters (TIPP) call in the Arelee, SK area. Officers responded and found a cow elk that was shot and left to waste 13 miles west of Arelee. Officers believe that the elk was shot sometime on the evening of the November 27. All of the edible meat was left to waste.
