On the evening of October 11th, 2022, a witness observed a newer model Chevrolet half-ton, blue in color, exit a field of private farmland, approximately 18 km northeast of Saltcoats, SK. The blue Chevrolet truck left the area at a high rate of speed and made its way north and then turned east on Highway 10. Due to low light and dusty conditions, a licence the plate number was not visible.
On the morning of October 12th, 2022, a dead bull moose was located by the witness in the field that the Chevrolet truck had been observed in. The witness called TIPP line reporting to the Yorkton Conservation Officer Service that a bull moose had been shot and left to waste
