On May 13, 2026, Big River Conservation Officers discovered 26 northern pike left to waste along a creek flowing into Hackett Lake off of Revo Lake Road. The fish appear to have been illegally snared during spawning and left on shore with no meat taken. There was no open fishing season at this time. Officers believe that this violation occurred between May 8 and May 12.

A cash reward of up to $2000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest or conviction of the individual(s) involved.
