On the evening of May 17th, 2026 a pile of 20-30 tires was burned in an old gravel pit a few miles east of Goodsoil, SK.
Burned tires release toxic chemicals causing respiratory damage, cancers and heavy metal poisoning to those present at the time of the burning. Burned tires also cause environmental damage in the form of air pollution, water contamination, and soil poisoning through toxin leaching.
Anyone with any information is encouraged to call the Turn in Poachers line to assist officers in determining who is responsible for the burning of the tires.
