On July 12th, 2026, Loon Lake conservation officers received a report that two northern pike had been found left to waste in the disposal bin in a fillet shack at the Summer RV Resort on Ministikwan Lake, west of Loon Lake, SK. Officers found that both fish only had parts of the tail fillets removed, leaving the rest of the edible meat to waste. It is unlawful to waste any edible meat that is fit for human consumption from any fish.
