On December 2, 2018, Assiniboia Conservation Officers received information regarding a shot and left mule deer buck. The deer was left to waste approximately 7 km South of Ardill (SW 12-11-29-W2). Officers were able to collect some evidence at the scene. Not only was the animal left to waste, but there was also no open season for either sex mule deer at the time of the incident. The season had closed on November 14, 2018.
