On October 11, 2019, Meadow Lake Conservation Officers received information of a moose which had been shot just north of the St. Cyr gun range, along the St. Cyr Road. Officers discovered a calf moose which was partially harvested with only the four quarters removed, while leaving other large portions of meat to waste. Evidence suggest the moose was shot while standing at the road way. There was no open season at the time the moose was shot.
