On November 5th, 2020, Humboldt Conservation Officers responded to a call regarding a headless mule deer that was shot and left on Ducks Unlimited land near Elkona and Basin Lakes, approximately 8 miles East of St. Benedict, SK. Only the head was taken while the rest was left to waste. Officers believe the offence occurred a few days prior. This is a blatant act of poaching and a total disregard for legal hunters and wildlife in the province.
