On February 16th 2022, Loon Lake Conservation Officers received information regarding a shot and left White-tailed deer on private land, 200m South of the entrance to Brightsand Regional Park, in the RM of Mervin. Upon investigation, a White-tailed buck was located shot and left to waste, as well as the remains of a second animal. Some evidence was collected, but officers are requesting the public’s help in providing information that could lead to the identification of those responsible. This is believed to have occurred sometime between 4:00pm on Tuesday, February 15th and 8:00am on Wednesday, February 16th.
