On January 27, 2024, Spiritwood Conservation Officers received information that an elk had been shot and left to waste with only the antlers removed south of the Meeting Lake Pasture approximately 24km northeast of Mayfair, SK. Officers attended and located evidence and were provided photos of a vehicle entering onto private property at 6:00AM that morning in the dark. It is suspected that this vehicle was involved in this violation.
