On September 22, 2025, Estevan Conservation Officers became aware of a bull moose that had been unlawfully harvested at land location SE 16-06-05 W2, north of Browning, SK. The suspects had driven though a standing wheat field to retrieve the animal, that had been barrel dressed and the antlers removed. The investigation would suggest that the moose was killed sometime in the evening or night of September 20.
