On Sunday, September 8, 2024, Wadena Conservation Officers received a Turn in Poachers call reporting that a bull moose had been unlawfully hunted on private land without permission, 2 miles west of Leslie Beach Regional Park. The responsible party used an ATV to drag the moose across canola swaths, causing significant crop damage to the farmer’s field. The moose was believed to have been shot in the early morning hours of Friday, September 6th, 2024.
