On March 14, 2026 at approximately 12:30 p.m., Conservation Officers received a report of an ice fishing shelter on fire on Last Mountain Lake near Regina Beach. The shelter is described as a white, aluminum‑sided Vanguard slide‑in/truck camper.
An older white four‑door long‑box truck, showing visible body rust and carrying either a generator or a welder in the truck bed, was seen towing the shelter shortly before it was unhooked and the truck left the area. Moments later, the shelter was fully engulfed in flames. The burned debris was left on the ice of Last Mountain Lake.
Officers are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the owner of the ice fishing shelter and/or the vehicle described. Attached are photographs of the location and the shelter.
