On March 17, 2026, Regina Conservation Officers located an unmarked ice fishing shelter that was left frozen into Last Mountain Lake, near Grandview Beach. To date, the ice fishing shelter has not been removed, and officers have been unsuccessful in determining ownership. Abandoned ice fishing shelters can pose an environmental and public safety hazard. Ice fishing shelters placed on water south of Highway 16 had to be removed by March 15.
Officers are looking to speak with anyone who may have information about this ice shelter.

If you know who the owner may be, please call the Turn in Poachers and Polluters TIPP line at 1-800-667-7561. You can also report online at saskatchewan.ca/tipp. You don’t have to give your name, and you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2000 through the SASKTIP Reward Program.
