On October 17, 2025, Greenwater Conservation Officers received a call about a moose that had been unlawfully shot and retrieved on private land without permission. This occurred approximately 5km south of Greenwater Lake Provincial Park on the east side of Highway 38. Tire tracks suggest the suspects’ vehicle may have become stuck while retrieving the moose. Officers were able to collect some evidence from the scene, but require the public’s help to identify the individuals responsible
