Update: This case can be marked as SOLVED!

The responsible individual did the right thing and turned themself in.

On November 22, 2025, Saskatoon Conservation Officers received a call through the Turn in Poachers and Polluters (TIPP) hotline. Officers responded and found a cow moose that was shot and left to waste approximately 9km southwest of Dana, SK. The cow moose was shot and dragged into a bush to try and hide the wasted animal. There was no season on at the time for cow moose and Conservation Officers believe that the person responsible was hunting antlerless elk at the time.
